For the moment, the Icare is sold exclusively on Optimal Tracking’s website.

Yes, you can buy the transmitter only. This allows you to equip other children or model. You are then able to track all these transmitters simultaneously. Also, the receiver may be bought on its own, something which is useful for hiking.

For payments by cheque, send us your cheque along with the list of products you want to buy and the delivery address. We will deliver them as soon as the payment has been paid into our account.

You can call us for information before ordering, but the order must be made on our website, or by letter accompanied by a cheque.

The receiver and the small transmitter each have a GPS module which computes their position. Every 30 seconds, the transmitter sends a message to the receiver by radio. This radio message contains the transmitter’s position. With this information, the receiver knows where the transmitter is situated. It then displays this information on its screen using the directional details provided by the electronic compass. All these operations do not require any network coverage, which means that the Icare is completely free to use.

Yes, up to 111 children or models may be tracked simultaneously. The transmitters just need to have different "channels". If this is not the case, it is easy to change a transmitter’s channel.

Absolutely.  The Icare does not need any network coverage. GPS is free to use and communication between the transmitter and the receiver uses point to point radio, therefore, it does not use a network.  Once you have bought the Icare, you will have nothing more to pay.

Yes, Icare works everywhere in the world because it does not use a network.

Do what your child prefers.  If he doesn’t want it around his neck, he can put it in his pocket or in his bag.

The "line of sight" range is about 3 kilometres. If there are obstacles, this range may be smaller. However, when the transmitter is placed on a flying object, the range may exceed 10 kilometres.
