Completely free to use, everywhere in the world

Icare is a GPS geolocation system which works everywhere, without a subscription fee, free of charge, without network coverage, without the need for an Internet connection, in isolated areas and overseas.... for peace of mind in all situations!

The operating principle

The Icare system comprises a transmitter and a receiver.

Both are equipped with a GPS module which enables them to determine their position precisely.

Every 30 seconds, the transmitter sends its position to the receiver by radio signal.

The receiver is then able to compare its position to that of the transmitter.

The receiver has an integrated electronic compass which enables it to display the direction and the distance between the transmitter and the receiver.

The radio signal’s range is 3 kilometers over clear ground, enabling the receiver to track all transmitters situated within an area of 3 kilometers...

Two cases for the Icare transmitter

For children, the Icare transmitter is equipped with a sturdy case and a strap allowing the child to wear it around his neck.

For model airplanes, the Icare is housed in a lightweight and very compact case weighing a total of 32 grams...

The receiver is the same for both types of transmitter...

An example of a screen when searching for your child

The red arrow points directly towards the child. The distance between you and the child is shown on top of the arrow.

Hold the receiver horizontally and advance in the direction of the arrow. Whatever the receiver’s direction, the arrow always points towards the child thanks to the integrated electronic compass.

Keep moving until the distance shows just a few metres... your child is there!

The battery indicator for the child's transmitter is displayed.

You can choose the name and the icon used to represent your child on the screen.

Very easy to use

The receiver has a simple toothed wheel which is operated with your thumb. The menus are extremely simple and, in just a few clicks, they offer access to all the Icare’s functions.

For the transmitter, a simple button allows you to turn the device on and off and also to send an SOS.

Where to place the transmitter for children

 Surveillance enfant par GPS

For the safety of your child, place the small transmitter around his neck, in his pocket, or in his bag and rest assured, Icare will take care of monitoring your child!

Alerts

The transmitter sends an alert to the receiver in the following cases:

  • the SOS button on the transmitter is pressed
  • the transmitter touches water
  • the transmitter is too far from the receiver. The maximum distance may be configured.
  • the transmitter enters a forbidden area or is too close to a point of danger. These areas or these dangers are defined by the user using Google Earth, or visits to the area in question.

For each of these alerts, the Icare receiver triggers an alarm, vibrates and flashes.

Cartography

You may display a map of the site on the screen. This map will comprise points, lines or polygons created either on Google Earth, or directly by visiting the area with the receiver.  Therefore, you are able to see paths, rivers and roads found on the site on the receiver's screen.

These maps are very quick to create and are completely free...

Tracking several transmitters

The Icare receiver is able to track more than 100 transmitters at the same time. This enables you to monitor a group of children, a hire pool, several small-scale models, etc.

Icare, hiking GPS device

When used on its own, the Icare receiver offers a genuine hiking GPS device. It allows you to prepare your route in advance on Google Earth or any other hiking software. Once in the area, it allows you to follow the path you have prepared and to see where you may have taken a wrong turning.

Your entire route is saved, meaning that you can retrace your footsteps and, above all, view your trip on Google Earth...

Real-time tracking of transmitters on Google Earth

For example, you hire bicycles and you want to be able to see them all on screen. Nothing could be easier. Connect the Icare receiver to your PC and see all the bicycles in real-time. You are able to see their position, their route, and in the event of danger, they are even able to call you...

Visualising the day’s routes on Google Earth

All the transmitters’ and the receiver’s routes are recorded constantly by the receiver. In the evening, connect the receiver to the USB port on your PC and view all these routes.

For model airplanes, you are even able to obtain a view in 3D and see altitudes, speeds, etc.

Icare, multi-purpose device

Icare may be used for a multitude of different applications... monitoring of children when skiing, in crowds, hiking or excursions, etc.

Other functions

Find where you are in town, find your car, your hotel...
